Universal Studio is a holy land for movie fans. This is a place where they can review classic movies and learn more about filmmaking. Besides these, visitors can have fun on the mechanical rides. We had great fun in the theme park. Jurassic Ride is considered to be the most breathtaking ride in the park but I like the Mummy Ride the most. The Ride moved as fast as a rocket yet it did not frighten me at all. My friends and I wanted to be on the Ride once more but we could not do this because we did not have enough time. It is a pity that we couldn’t try all the games and rides or watched all the shows. I will never miss any of them if I come here again.

In these few days, we have visited many special and beautiful places like Niagara Falls, Bird Kingdom, Butterfly Conservatory and Universal Studio.
Niagara Falls is one of the famous scenic spots in the world. I could not imagine I could see this amazing creation before. It is a really good place for me to feel the power of the Nature. I cannot find any word to describe what I was watching and feeling when I was there.
The other place that I want to talk about is Universal Studio. It is an interesting place for me because I knew more about filmmaking there. In addition, there are some exciting rides. We all had fun there.
I hope that I will go to these places again in the future.

We went to Niagara Falls. Niagara Falls is one of the world-famous scenic spots. First, we went down to the bottom of the other side of the waterfall. It was so amazing! We could see the full view of Niagara Falls there. It gave me good memories.
After the visit to Niagara Falls, we went to Butterfly Conservatory. There are more than 2000 species of butterflies from tropical countries. They are all colorful and special. I have never seen so many butterflies before. They flew around the exhibition room.
After that, we went to Universal Studio. This is my favorite theme park. We went on a studio tour in the theme park. We toured around the theme park and knew more about filmmaking. On the tour, we also saw that how some special effects were made for the movies. They were all exciting! Moreover, I have bought some souvenirs printed with Hollywood stars’ portraits such as Orlando Bloom – my favorite Hollywood star!

The longer I stayed in the U.S., the more I experienced. We have just been to Niagara Falls and Universal Studio. The scenery of Niagara Falls is so splendid that it has greatly broadened my horizon. It’s a rare chance to see such a big waterfall as we do not see any similar waterfall in Hong Kong. I have been looking forward to the day to Niagara Falls for a long time. It is such an impressive grand sight that I could not keep my eyes away from it.
As for Universal Studio, I was excited because I had a chance to take a studio tour and knew more about film production. Apart from the tour, the rides are also exciting. The most interesting rides are the ones in Mummy and Jurassic Park. We all had fun on the rides as they plunged rapidly to the low.
At night, we went to La Sierra University. We did not only stay there for sleep but also had lessons with the local students. After the stay at La Sierra University, I really want to study abroad as there seems to be more comfortable than in Hong Kong.

These few days I have gone to Canada for sightseeing. The experience is unforgettable. Among all the places I have been in Canada, the most impressive one should be Niagara Falls.
I can’t imagine that the greatest waterfall is just located downtown. Not only did the spectacular view impress me but also the gurgle of the waterfall. This is extremely amazing. I have never been to such a fantastic scenic spot. In addition, we went to the Observation Deck on the top of Skylon Tower. Though we were far away from Niagara Falls, we could still feel its power.
After visiting Niagara Falls, I want to praise my Lord because His Creation is great. Moreover, I am glad that I have such an opportunity to visit here. I’ll never forget this experience.
Besides, we have been to Universal Studio. It’s also a nice place. Through the rides we played and the shows we watched, I could understand why Western movies could be so successful. Furthermore, most of the buildings there are constructed according to their themes. They are grand and beautiful. Of all the rides in the theme park, I like ‘Mummy Ride’ the most. The ride is really attractive because it looks real.

These few days we had great activities. We stayed in Canada for a short while for seeing the great Niagara Falls. This experience is valuable. I am amazed by the power of our Nature.
After the trip to Niagara Falls, we went to Bird Kingdom and Butterfly Conservatory. Unfortunately, we just stayed there for a short while. Although we only stayed in Canada for one day, I will not forget this beautiful country.
Later, we returned to the U.S. The first activity after coming back to the U.S. was to go to Universal Studio. I like that place very much because the games and the shows are exciting.
At night we went to La Sierra University. We stayed there for a few days and I learnt more about the university. They are all valuable experiences for me.

I would like to share my experience after the last entry here.
The last few days we went to a few places. We went to Niagara Falls, Bird Kingdom and Butterfly Conservatory. I like Niagara Falls because it is amazing to see so much water pouring down from the waterfall. I am amazed by the power of the water. I like Bird Kingdom and Butterfly Conservatory too. It is rare to see so many birds and butterflies in Hong Kong. I like these three places very much.
At this moment, I am staying at La Sierra University. I had three lessons there. I think it’s a chance for me to improve my listening and reading skills. These skills are useful and I will practice them more if I have a chance.
Before we stayed at La Sierra University, we went to Universal Studio. This is an interesting place! There I watched many 3D and 4D movies. The Haunted House is the most interesting one that I will not forget. I was scared by the props, the sound effects, and the staff who put on scary costumes in the House. They all looked real. Particularly, the vampire and the mummy were the scariest ones.
That’s all I’d like to share with you here.

This is my first time visiting Canada. We went to Niagara Falls, which is one of the Seven Wonders of the World. I was very excited because I have never seen any of the Seven Wonders before. Niagara Falls is not a man-made wonder. It’s all natural. While I was standing in front of the waterfall, I wondered how powerful our Nature was.
After we had left Canada, we went to Universal Studio. I was looking forward to visiting it for a long time, as I love watching movies very much. All games are related to Hollywood movies. We watched 3D and 4D short films. They were great. The characters seemed real. I always thought that I could touch them. The following day we visited classes at La Sierra University. Although I did not understand the teachers very much as I did not have the background knowledge of the subject, I think it’s a very good experience for me as a high school student to attend university classes like these.

We had a series of activities in the past few days. We went to Niagara Falls in Canada, Universal Studio in Los Angeles and La Sierra University.
Niagara Falls is one of the Seven Wonders. Many visitors around the world also go there for sightseeing. It is a fabulous place. I was attracted by this nice view. We went to the lower part of the waterfall. Although the temperature was low, everyone enjoyed being there. All of us took many pictures.
We also went to Universal Studio. We knew more about film production after the visit.
In the following few days, we stayed at La Sierra University. We toured around the wonderful campus and attended lectures. It was difficult for me to understand the teachers but somehow I could still learn something from them. After an English lesson, I went to a Business class and a Biology class. The Biology class was interesting. That lesson was about microbiology. As a Science student, I was interested in the class.

After visiting Andrews University, we went to Niagara Falls – one of the Seven Wonders of the World. This place is like a paradise because the view is beautiful, birds are everywhere and the air is fresh. This place allows me to think of the power of God too. This is a special experience that I would not have when I was in Hong Kong.
We also went to a well-known scenic spot – Universal Studio – on the following day. There are plenty of buildings with splendid decoration. I was most impressed by the show in the Haunted House. It was my first time attending a haunted house. I asked my friends to go there with me. My friends and I had fun there as we yelled all the way from the beginning to the end of the show. Besides the Haunted House, I also had a good time knowing about film production as we went on a studio tour.
Not only did the scenic spots broaden my horizons but also the school life here. We went to La Sierra University right after the visit to Universal Studio. We attended a Science class at LSU. Being a Science student, I was interested in micro bio-chemistry, which is about structure of cells. I need to say that this lesson is more interesting than a mere Biology class. We also attended a Business class but I found it boring. I did not understand anything the professor said.
Here I want to thank my parents who gave me a chance to visit all these wonderful places and a chance to force me using English.

I have been being excited for a few days.
After leaving Andrews University, we went to the world-famous Niagara Falls. I have never seen such an amazing view before. Therefore, I took a lot of beautiful photos with the waterfall. My friends and I had a great time there.
Two days later, we went to Universal Studio which is located in Los Angeles. Universal Studio is very big. Before we started playing the rides, we went on a studio tour which took us around the theme park. Then, we started to try different rides around the theme park. I was quite afraid in the beginning. If my friends had not gone with me, I would not have tried any of the rides. It was fun though I was frightened. This experience is definitely unforgettable.
Then, we went to La Sierra University. We visited a Business class and a Micro-Biology class. Although I am not studying these subjects in Hong Kong, the things that I learnt in the lessons would be useful for my learning right now.
We will go to Disneyland, California Adventure and Grand Canyon very soon. I am looking forward to going these places.

Niagara Falls is a miracle. It is amazing. However, it was very cold at Niagara Falls and there was no snowing when we were there. This disappointed us a lot. After the visit to Niagara Falls, we went back to the U.S. On the following day, we went to Universal Studio which is located in Los Angeles. This is a place where we can see a lot of film production sites and filmmaking equipment. Our first activity in Universal Studio was touring around the theme park. On the tour bus, there was a voiceover telling us the production background of some of its well-known movies. It was wonderful.
How about La Sierra University? This place is nice and large. We had lessons with the local students. It was a great experience to attend a lecture in university and to study with the local students.
I am very grateful that I had an opportunity to go to the U.S. It is also my honor to be a part of the trip. The trip demands much of my energy, but it is still a wonderful trip for sure.

Dear F.5 friends, you must join this tour next year, because the activities in this year’s tour are fabulous. This year we had class observations at Andrews University in Berrien Springs and La Sierra University in Riverside; we went to Niagara Falls, Bird Kingdom, Butterfly Conservatory and Skylon Tower in Canada; we also had fun in Universal Studio, Wild Animal Park, Disneyland, California Adventure and went to Grand Canyon in Arizona.
In my opinion, Niagara Falls is the best. I was amazed by the vast of water pouring down from the Falls and the sounds that it made. What’s more amazing was that I felt like we were in heaven. The clouds were so low that they were like beside us. By the time we were in Niagara Falls, the snow has not completely melted. Therefore, we could see many snowy mountains in that area. That is a beautiful place. It is wonderful to be there.
After the visit to Niagara Falls, we went to Bird Kingdom, Butterfly Conservatory and Skylon Tower. When you are on the top of the Tower, you can see the full view of the waterfall. It was a special experience. You should not miss it!
Thus, let’s join the tour next year, if you’ve got a chance!

This time I want to share my feeling for my favorite spots on the tour and my experience at La Sierra here.
My first favorite spot is Niagara Falls. Niagara Falls is located on the boundary between the U.S. and Canada. It is the largest waterfall in the world. I am very lucky and delighted to visit this well-known scenic spot when I am on this exchange tour. Going to Niagara Falls is not cheap, but I think it is worthy of my money because it is rare to hear deafening sounds of the water hitting crests and rocks and to see a grand waterfall like this. I couldn’t stop myself praising the wonder of Creation when I was in front of it!
The second one is Universal Studio. Among all the games there, I like the 3D game ‘Back to the Future’ the most. I was curious about the game. The name of the game already gave me a sense of excitement. A time machine took me to travel across the past and the future in a blast. We went through from the Age of Dinosaur to the Age of Technology. During the tour, we flew over eruptive volcanoes, snowy mountains and great oceans in high speed. In my opinion, this game is much more interesting than the other 3D or 4D movies or games.
The class of Business at La Sierra University was impressive. Others might find the lesson boring as the lesson discussed who would be the next leader of the world. They estimated that China would most likely be the next one. They gave very interesting reasons for their guess. They said that China has the largest population in the world and the living standard of the majority of its people is below average. These two facts boost China to go up rapidly. I found this speculation interesting.

On April 6, we went to Universal Studio. The theme park is divided into different sections. Mechanic rides are grouped into a few sections and there are areas for introducing its film production.
Apart from sections for rides and introducing film production, there are shopping areas. I can remember there are Hollywood Shoppe, Nichelodeon Stuffand, Studio Warehouse and Jurassic Outfitters. We bought lots of things for friends and classmates.
Universal Studio is a very beautiful place and you can know more about how to make a good film.

After leaving Andrews University, we went to Canada and took a tour to Niagara Falls. It was so cold but I like the place because it is a miraculous creation. It is amazing to see a vast of water pouring down from the top of the waterfall and hitting the bottom.
A few kilometers away Niagara Falls are Bird Kingdom, Skylon Tower and Butterfly Conservatory. We went there and saw many different kinds of birds and butterflies. We took many photos with them. The Skylon Tower is very tall. It is 775 feet high. We saw the full view of Niagara Falls as we went up and down the Tower’s elevator. The view is very beautiful.
On the next day, we went to Universal Studio. We knew more about how to make a movie. The 3D and 4D shows are like real. They are all interesting. We tried to play most of the games in the least time. We were busy going from one game site to another. We nearly got lost.
At this moment, we are at La Sierra University. The area of this university seems to be as big as Andrews University. I am still afraid that I will get lost even though I have a map with me. Yesterday, we had two classes of Biology. I thought it was so difficult for me to understand but I managed to understand what the teachers said. I won’t give up any chance of studying. The teachers are kind and helpful. I learnt more about the skills of studying English from them. I hope my English will improve.
I will enjoy the rest of my tour.

During the Andrews University Preview, the student helpers took all of us to Roller World for rollerskating.
I knew nothing about rollerskating as I have never played it before. Fortunately, a beautiful girl who's called Mini taught me how to skate. She took my hand and skated with me. There were times I nearly fell down but I could stand up again immediately. I believe I can do better if I practise more.
I skated alone after Mini left. When I nearly fell down, suddenly a girl pulled me up. Her name is Rita. She taught me how to skate better in simple Cantonese. I was very surprised. She told me that she was born and was brought up in Canada but her parents are Chinese. This is why she can speak Cantonese too.
After practising rollerskating for about two hours, finally I skated better than before. Rita gave me the thumbs up.
Sometimes there is something very difficult or impossible to do, I think we can finish it if we try, practise, and never give up.

We are delighted to have a university preview in Andrews University. The preview allowed me to know more about the school life in university. Interested in the school life in the United States, I have high expectations on the following two days of preview here.
On the first day, we were separated into small groups for campus tour. As we walked around, I found that the students here are lucky because Andrews University provides an excellent study environment for them. This time in the tour I also found myself lucky because I have opportunities to talk with the local students. It is a good chance for me to force myself using English.
I, moreover, believe the university school life is very interesting because it offers many subjects, activities and clubs for the students to take part in.
In the evening, we went to Roller World. Most of us tried to pick up the sport. In the beginning, many of us fell down on the skating ground very easily. They, however, made progress after practices.
On the following day, I visited a Baseball Literature class. There were only six students in the classroom. They didn't take notes in the lesson. They are different from us because we will try to jot down everything in our notebooks. There is also one difference between the U.S. students and us. This is the way we behave in the class. We Chinese students seldom speak up in the class but the U.S. students like to answer teachers' questions.
I look forward to another opportunity to visit this university again.
CHAU Nga Yuen (TPSY)(written on April 3)
Before the university preview, I was very curious about the school life in the university. What did the students do there? What did the students study there? I wanted to know everything about this university!
I had a good time in these two days of preview. Andrews University provides a good environment for students to study. Therea are many interesting subjects offered for them. We toured around the campus and we listened to the advice from Student Financial Service and Andrews University Student Association. We know more about the school life here. In the afternoon, there was an international Food Fair held in the campus. The food was delicious. There were Korean food, Chinese food, Indian food, and so on. We enjoyed the food so much.
In the evening, we went to Roller World. Some students who came with us played rollerskating very well while there were also some who fell down the floor all the time but they insisted on trying.
We visited a class in the following day. It was about quality management. I was quite nervous when I was in the class because the lesson was conducted in English. I was afraid that I could not understand anything in the class. After that, we went to a nursing lesson. The tutor played videos in the beginning. The video talked about why we should become a nurse. I was very interested in it.
